I am very excited to be a part of the Temple Judea family. This year marks my 25rd year as a Religious School Director. I previously served at Temple Beth David in Commack and Temple Sinai of Roslyn. I bring a background from the Reform movement, lots of camp experience, and a desire to make Jewish education a positive, engaging experience for all of our students. My own children are 21, 18 and 13, which enables me to have a great perspective of the pressures and challenges our children face, while also providing me with an understanding of what draws their attention.
Our Journeys Family Programs offer us opportunities to come together, with our families and our clergy on Shabbat in lieu of a traditional Sunday morning class. Some special Journeys programs for this year include a Sukkot BBQ, Purim Palooza, and a trip to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Tilles Center.
The entire educational team has been hard at work preparing for the arrival of our students. It is going to be a great year!
