Caring Committee

caringThe Caring Committee was established in the year 2000 for the purpose of serving the emotional realities of everyday life.  Temple Judea is our spiritual home and the congregation is its spiritual family.

The Committee is comprised of a group of individuals who have chosen to help our members with difficult personal problems.  This includes  hospital visitations, help during Shiva periods, leading Shiva services, following up with families after Shiva and providing assistance to caregivers.

Congregants in need are referred to the Caring Committee by Rabbi Chizner or from members of the  congregation.  Help is always provided in a confidential manner.

Temple Judea belongs to “Partners in Caring” a URJ funded program, which provides the following services:

Separation & Divorce Support
Recent Bereavement Support
Caregiver Support
Strength to Strength – Cancer Wellness Program for Adults
Legal, Financial & Career Resources
Cancer Support Groups
plus many more
