The Caring Committee

The Caring Committee was established in the year 2000 for the purpose of serving the realities of congregational life.  The function of this committee is predicated on the fact that Temple Judea is a spiritual home and the congregation is its spiritual family.

The Committee is comprised of a group of individuals who have chosen to help our members with difficult personal problems.  Its mission changes as required by the needs of the congregation.  Such areas as hospital visitation, following up with families after Shiva periods, and providing assistance to caregivers were among the initial tasks for this committee.

The committee moves into action to provide the help that is needed following referrals by Rabbi Chizner or calls from other congregants.  Members are not necessarily formally trained in a particular area but have shown a willingness and desire to volunteer their time to help others.

Please contact Dr. Michael Wininger or Arlene Ruderman if you are interested in joining this committee.
