PROCESS:

  1. Committee Chair, WRJ Sisterhood President, Brotherhood President, School Director or Clergy plans event  and creates Flyer text and design and/or design concept
  1. Text to include
  • Event description Who – What – Why
  • Day, Date and Time When
  • Location Where
  • Whether open to community or just temple members
  • RSVP information with temple-judea address
  1. Submit Flyer and Flyer request form (available on website). Flyer request form to indicate
  • distribution e.g. email (constant contact) as well as snail mail
  • placement in print media – in community calendar or as article, if event open to public
  • website placement
  • Facebook post – flyer will be posted on Facebook
  • Tweet (include tweet verbiage; limited to 140 characters)
  • Google ad campaign (appropriate where event could drawn from community at large)

Committee Chair, WRJ Sisterhood President, Brotherhood President, School Director or Clergy needs to provide this information to Office 6 weeks prior to event, when possible

  1. Office to review for content, spelling, grammar and completeness (see 2 and 3 above)
  1. Office to make corrections and add graphics where appropriate and “branding” formats that are currently under review
  1. Office to submit to Rabbi, if clergy approval is required, and both President and First Vice-President for review, corrections as necessary, and sign off; with cc: to Publicity Chair to be informed of any/all events in planning stages
  1. Rabbi if required and President or Vice-President returns to Office where
  • distributed to temple members via email and next bulk snail mail
  • make copies and placement for Friday night services and Temple events
  • posted to website
  • provide to Publicity Chair to coordinate all publicity
  1. Publicity Chair
  • writes and places ads/articles with print media
  • makes or coordinates Facebook post
  • prepares tweet and provides to technical assistant with cc to David Martin for tweeting
  • coordinates with Web Admin on any Google ad campaign or any website questions/issues
  1. All Chairs and others as appropriate, to provide Publicity Chair with post event feedback – written comment and pictures for review for print media, website, Facebook and Twitter placement.

PLEASE ALLOW FOR A ONE WEEK TURN AROUND, FROM THE DATE OF SUBMISSION TO THE DATE OF RELEASE.
