PARTICIPATE IN A SOCIAL ACTION WEEKEND

AT TEMPLE JUDEA!

Friday night Social Action Shabbat, November 14 at 8:00 PM

HEAR FROM A MEMBER OF JAFCO…A VERY SPECIAL

ORGANIZATION FOR JEWISH CHILDREN

WHAT IS JAFCO? The Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options’ Children’s Village in Sunrise, Florida provides foster and adoptive families as well as a residential setting with six group homes for up to 50 abused and neglected Jewish children. At Friday night’s Oneg, you will have the opportunity to help provide JAFCO kids with Chanukah gifts.

BRING to the Shabbat services — juice boxes, raisins, granola bars, small bags of chips and pretzels and apples and oranges to distribute at our winter apparel/coat drive on Sunday.

REMEMBER…this is the last chance to bring winter apparel for Sunday’s community outreachin Glen Cove!  This year we are collecting gently used jeans and new underwear and sox – in addition to coats, scarves, sweaters, sweatshirts, boots, gloves and blankets.

MEET in the Social Hall… SORT the collected coats and winter apparel. Decorate and fill snack bags. CREATE a banner for the Glen Cove event.
