Come join us this weekend Friday, Nov. 4th – Sunday, Nov. 6th
Social Action Shabbat
Friday, November 4th at 8:00pm
Meet our guest speaker, Kayde Austin Thompson, founder of Broken But Not Destroyed.
On Yom Kippur, Rabbi Chizner spoke about Ms. Thompson, the amazing woman who left her career as a paralegal to work with her husband to create a new kind of homeless shelter on Long Island. Broken But Not Destroyed helps the homeless pick themselves up and start again. Come to Social Action Shabbat to find out how you can help
!Also, this will be the last chance to bring winter apparel for Sunday’s community outreach in Glen Gove. This year we are collecting coats, scarves, sweaters, gloves, jeans, and sweatpants, sleeping bags and blankets.
Saturday, November 5th at 1:00pm
We really need your help! Please come to the Social Hall to sort collected winter apparel. This year we will be sorting according to size…which means helpers of all ages welcome. Community service credits will be given. Great family project!
